Hello everyone,
Wow! I have a hard time believing that it really has been 20
years!! It was great to see everyone at the reunion. It was a lot of
fun. I realized this past weekend that to some degree, your influences
have helped to get me where I am today.
Well here is a very condensed bio... After highschool, I attended UNM
in Albuquerque majoring in music, then switching to geography and
atmospheric sciences. After six years, I managed to complete my
geography degree but always had a strong pull to do music for a
living. AlthoughI must admit that I still love weather, the weather
channel, and most of all storm chasing, it didn't win out over
music. After working in the service industry for seven or eight years,
and recording and performing music with a couple of different bands, I
met my wife Nanette at a new co-worker training class (and shortly
after, discovered she was a fantastic classical pianist). We dated for
several years before marrying in 2000. Beginning in 1999, we both
launched our own businesses: both of us teaching music lessons,
Nanette practices Traditional Chinese Medicine, and I have a recording
studio, producing, composing, and performing music, additionally we own
and manage rental properties. Currently we live in Albuquerque, and are
Blessed with a son David (four and one-half), and a daughter Sophia (9
months).
I do periodically go to Los Alamos to visit my family, so I will look
for you grass-rooters the next time I'm up there. It was really a blast
seeing everyone.
