Sullivan Field Renovation Project 2006

Sullivan Field is undergoing a major renovation. A new 7 lane, green and gold, Mondo track surface is being installed as well as complete state of the art lighting. In addition, a beautiful brick sidewalk will be installed from the ticket booth to the home bleachers. You can have a personalized brick added to this walkway. Click here for more information.

I really didn't want to do this but I've done so little to help organize the reunions, I figured I should be contributing something, especially since I live in Los Alamos.

Let's see... I missed our 10 year reunion because I was in labor with our first child. While I would rather have been at the reunion, than participating in 18 hours of labor, it was worth it because Aletta was born and was beautiful and perfect just like her two brothers (Vincent born in 2000) and (Dylan born just a year ago). Vince and I will be married 15 years in August. It still amazes me when I say that, although I'm not sure why because I can't imagine my life being any other way.

After living in several places, Albuquerque, New York, Denver, New York again... we finally decided to move to Los Alamos. Actually, after I finished law school it was Vince's turn to decide where to live and he chose Los Alamos. While I wasn't really excited about it, now that we've been here for almost 11 years I'm the one who doesn't want to leave.

After law school, I worked for a private law firm before I came to work at the Laboratory... yes, I actually now know why we all lived here before and what our parents did for a living. I started with Lab Counsel but have now worked in various programs and in various positions. I was the Chief of Staff and then Senior Advisor for the Threat Reduction Directorate and am now the Assurance Officer for the Weapons Physics Directorate. As strange as it seems, I don't think there is anywhere else I could work in the country right now as exciting, and at times frustrating, as Los Alamos. Vince is a partner in a private company that performs work for several National Laboratories (he directs the Los Alamos Office so that we can stay living here). Los Alamos has been good to us and, while we spend time traveling, we know this is our home.

Hope to see you at the reunion.
