Sullivan Field is undergoing a major renovation. A new 7 lane, green and
gold, Mondo track surface is being installed as well as complete state
of the art lighting. In addition, a beautiful brick sidewalk will be
installed from the ticket booth to the home bleachers. You can have a
personalized brick added to this walkway.

Okay, so my bio reads pretty differently than most I've read on this
site but here goes.
I have lived to 5 different states and 1 different country since high
school:
My first two years of college were at NAU in Flagstaff, AZ but I
graduated from the University of Kansas (go Jayhawks!) with a BS in
Business Administration and a Spanish minor. Upon graduating, I moved
to Costa Rica where I studied (kind of) and taught ESL (kind of) in San
Jose for one ridiculously fun and eye opening year. After my time in
the beautiful tropics, I logically chose Lubbock, Texas as my next home.
I stayed there for six years and managed to get a Master's degree, four
years experience in health care marketing, and even a more than remedial
appreciation for college football. By year six in Lubbock though it was
past time for change; I packed up the dogs headed north to the ever so
popular destination of Moscow, Idaho. I call it a transition year.
There I caught up with family and focused on animal assisted therapy
while figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. At year end, thanks
to a little soul searching and the power of monster-dot-com , I landed
my perfect job with a health care organization in Oregon. I knew within
hours of moving to Portland that I was home.
I love my job despite hating the degrees that brought me here:
While I loved being in school, I never liked studying business.
Logically, I got an MBA. After several years in the business field
wondering what I had done, I came upon my current employer. I have
worked for the same organization for six years; more than five in the
planning and business consulting capacity. Ready for a change, I
recently switched jobs within the company and now do communications for
a major research undertaking. Throughout, I have been fortunate enough
to love my job much more often than not and I find it luckily ironic
that my unbeloved studies led me to a career that I enjoy
wholeheartedly.
I have never been married and I don't have kids:
I am single. I simply have not met the right guy... at the right
time. I've had my heart broken enough to be skeptical; I've been loved /
in love enough to still believe it might be worth the risk. Regardless,
I cannot imagine being anywhere other than where I am today. I am
inexplicably lucky with the quality of friends I have made throughout
the years; I am a proud but clumsy home owner, a devoted dog owner, and
a fumbling idealist. I have dabbled in guitar, mountaineering, and rock
climbing but true to my roots I still come back to soccer. With three
ACL surgeries to my name, I now just play coed - indoor - beer league
and futsal when I get a chance but I still love it irrationally. All
things considered, life is really really good.
...and the not so different:
I still have a warm place in my heart for LA and the high school
years and I am still mystified by the days when sneaking out of the
house at night was more appealing than sleeping.
Thank you to those who created and participated in this website. It
is surreal and endearing.
