Sullivan Field is undergoing a major renovation. A new 7 lane, green and
gold, Mondo track surface is being installed as well as complete state
of the art lighting. In addition, a beautiful brick sidewalk will be
installed from the ticket booth to the home bleachers. You can have a

Brad Handy
Hello everyone. I figure 20 years of history is a small price to pay
for free libations. (Thanks Rick.) So here we go.
After high school, I ran amok for five and a half years while trying
to obtain higher education.I graduated in December of 92 with a BA in
Criminal Justice, which I never have, nor will I ever use. I then
joined the Navy, and ran amok for another four years. But this time, it
was on your hard earned money. Thank you for the memories! By the way,
if you want any return on your investment, you'll have to take it up
with the miller brewing company and a couple of the more talented girls
at DejaVu in San Diego. Good luck on that one.
Nine months before being discharged from the Navy; I was home on
leave, and ran into a girl I hadn't really known since elementary
school. Well, she proceeded to get me drunk, and take advantage of me.
Now I know a good thing when I see it, and this could substantially
reduce the workload of trying to obtain what we all want. Besides, she
was pretty damn cute. So I fed her a bunch of BS about fame and
fortune, and convinced her to marry me.Jennifer Snodgrass and Iwere
married on August 2 in 1998 in what could be construed as the perfect
pirate wedding;all walks of life, lots of drunken behavior, and even a
good old fashioned cat fight. What a great day!
After departing the Navy, Jen and I went to Indonesia, where I worked
for my dad surveying geothermal wells. Indonesia is pretty much a
lawless country, and due to political instability, we came back to the
states in may of 1998, after major rioting in Jakarta. I continued to
go back for work, but due to unknown living conditions, Jenn only went
back for a short period. After I had full filled a year long contract,
I decided I would rather stay married than run around a third world
country, playing on top of volcanoes. Besides, I didn't make enough
money to keep all the bureaucrats honest.
In January of 1999, Jenn and I moved to San Diego; where we bought a
small house in Pacific Beach, and a piece of shit sailboat we kept
moored in mission Bay.(I wouldn't mention the sailboat around Jenn.)
Our first child, a son, was born on August 26, 2000; and today, Cameron
is a six year old motor head.(I get all choked up just thinking about
it.) But San Diego was growing at an out of control pace. Jenn and I
were also profoundly affected by 9/11 in our professional lives. And
lets face it; beach communities are cool, but the thought of raising
your kids in them is not. So, in May of 2002, with real estate prices
soaring, we sold out, and moved to Pagosa Springs, CO.
In Pagosa, I made the mistake of getting into aviation, and before
long the small fortune we made on our house in San Diego could not come
close to the Large fortune I had spent on airplanes. I bought four,
sold two, and crashed one. (Also something I wouldn't bring up around
Jenn.) Yes my friends, Jimmy Buffet was right when he sang "if we
weren't all crazy we would go insane."
Last August, Samantha was born, and I think she's going to be a
biker. In an effort to dodge the bill collectors; I recently rejoined
the family business, and we are actually planning to move back to Los
Alamos. I just starteda new project, but this time instead of the
jungle of Indonesia Iam in the desert of Oman; and instead of
geothermal energy, the goal is oil. So; if the travel gods, and US
immigration, are cooperative, we will see you all for a weekend of
debauchery in July.
Sorry there are no pictures, I tend to keep lousy records, I'll try
to rectify that.
