Sullivan Field Renovation Project 2006

Sullivan Field is undergoing a major renovation. A new 7 lane, green and gold, Mondo track surface is being installed as well as complete state of the art lighting. In addition, a beautiful brick sidewalk will be installed from the ticket booth to the home bleachers. You can have a personalized brick added to this walkway. Click here for more information.

Like everyone else, I can't believe that it's been 20 years since we were 18 and graduating from high school. My husband had his 20-year reunion last year, and that started my realization that I'm getting older. In fact, I can't believe (or don't want to accept) that soon I'll be 40. Yikes!! Well, here is a quick re-cap of the last 20 years.

School...

In the Fall of 1987 I went off to Texas Tech in Lubbock. However, Lubbock was too flat, windy, and Texan for me, so I transferred to UNM in Fall, 1988. I enjoyed my time at UNM very much, and I met my husband Brad there. In May 1991, I graduated with a bachelor's in business. I was working in healthcare administration after college, and decided I was more interested in the clinical side, so I went back to UNM and completed the Nuclear Medicine Technology program. I also have an MBA in healthcare administration and finance from the University of Colorado.

Career...

I worked in the field of Nuclear Medicine for 10 years. In addition, I became certified in MRI and did that for a few years. I've worked at Memorial Health System in Colorado Springs since 2001 when we moved here from Arizona. By 2005, I got tired of dealing with cranky patients, whiny employees, and jerky radiologists so I transferred to the Budget and Decision Support part of Finance with Memorial. I now work as a financial analyst, and I enjoy my work a lot. I really enjoy healthcare, and this position exposes me to many more areas than I got to experience when I did nuclear medicine and MRI.

Life...

Brad and I were married June, 1992 so we just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. As I mentioned above, he is a fellow Lobo (woof, woof, woof). He was a golf pro, but now he teaches middle school math and computers. We've lived in Albuquerque, Sierra Vista, AZ, and now Colorado Springs. Currently, our "children" consist of our 12-year old dog Dublin (a lab/dachshund cross), and 3 cats: Simon, Topher, and Boo. We enjoy outdoor activities in our free time.
