Sullivan Field is undergoing a major renovation. A new 7 lane, green and
gold, Mondo track surface is being installed as well as complete state
of the art lighting. In addition, a beautiful brick sidewalk will be
installed from the ticket booth to the home bleachers. You can have a
personalized brick added to this walkway.

I was really feeling sentimental about my high school years and
started digging around in my old picture boxes, looking for some photos
to post on the Reunion website. (VERY nice website, by the way.)
Despite my excitement, I was only able to find pictures of myself and my
friends looking glum. Then I realized! I was MISERABLE in high school!
How could I have so easily forgotten? And the reason I was miserable
in high school was because I was in Los Alamos!
We called it "Lost Almost" and for good reason: nothing to do on a
weekend, no live music, stores close down at 9:00 PM, egad. I remember
"riding the dryers" in the laundromat downtown just for a stupid thrill.
And social interaction? How about going down to the Pumice mines to
shoot semi-automatic weapons, then stare dope-eyed into a bonfire for
hours on end. It's no wonder Los Alamos has such high rates of drug use
and divorce. For those of you who have found happiness in that town and
are raising your families there, more power to you. I sincerely hope
your children don't experience the same crushing sense of isolation and
boredom I suffered through.
I escaped to NMSU (Las Cruces) for a few years, where the highlight
was being the singer in a punk/experimental noise band, The Hometown
Scars. I came to Austin and received my Bachelor's in Linguistics from
the University of Texas. I've been working in Market Research for the
past 15 years. It took me a while to find my husband, but Omid and I
met in 1997 at a "Pimp and Ho" party, and married in 2001. We don't
have any children and don't plan to. I like to play Scrabble, do
crossword puzzles, and make mojitos using fresh mint from my herb
garden. I feel like I'm living the good life. And as Karin mentioned
in her bio, I surely do give thanks for every day that I'm here. And
not in Los Alamos.
